Nationally ranked tennis champion, Amy Brown, spent most of her adolescence playing and dominating the tennis world. Every day was filled with tennis training, psychology, and matches, and she also found time to excel in academics. She was honored full ride scholarships for tennis and academics to many universities but ultimately found her college home at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa California. Keeping her high-ranking tennis reputation, she lead her college tennis team to Nationals all four years she attended Vanguard. LA times reported on Amy’s success and also acknowledged that the Intercollegiate Tennis Association had given her the All American title.

While attending Vanguard she found herself inspired by film and most specifically Documentary and Social Justice films. She had intended her major to be Sports Medicine, but after discovering this new passion she chose to major in Communications with an emphasis in film. This new passion and education influenced Amy to see the world and highlight the needs of the world with her filming. She captured a specific opportunity to move to Switzerland and travel to film small documentaries for World Missions. She filmed in 17 countries in just under a year and a half and revealed the needs in each of those countries to inspire change.

After her time in Switzerland she then moved to her hometown of Redding, CA and explored what was next. She craved to be inspired and that lead her to try anything she could find. She tried printmaking, glass blowing, ceramics, dance, yoga, training for triathlon, acting classes, working at a TV station, catering, personal chef, wedding photography, fireworks distributor, and DJ. You could call this stage her “Eat, Pray, Love” moment.

Amy then decided to take all her new talents to San Francisco CA and teach tennis professionally. While tennis has always been what she has done, it was not always what she loved. She now is setting out to do what it is she loves with whom she loves, her dog Viva. Amy believes that everyone deserves the chance to chase after what it is they love. So she is gathering everything she loves and hitting the road to inspire social justice for women while revealing all the beautiful places to travel with a dog. You may never meet Amy, but if you ever see her know that she is the girl with the motorcycle, side car, black lab dog, and a smile.

To follow Amy’s ultimate adventures make sure to follow her on all of her social media outlets.
